The provincial government announced this morning they will be offering support to people experiencing personal difficulties resulting from jury duty.

Beginning on December 1, the province will offer the Juror Support Program that has been created by the Ministry of Justice.

Individuals interested in the program only have two months after they complete jury duty to use the service.

The newly designed program will offer four treatment and if additional sessions are required they may be approved depending on the circumstances.

Twenty-four communities throughout the province will have counsellors available with the new service.

To access the Saskatchewan Juror Assistance and Support Program, jurors can call the toll-free number at 1-866-294-5035. Professional intake staff are available to assist 24/7 to connect jurors with counsellors in their area.
