Another weekend is soon to dawn over the southwest, and I can assure you, there will be plenty to explore. On Saturday, I will be just across from the Swift Current Town Hall for the SPCA Radiothon. Listen in for me talking to Ken Audette about the event on the Eagle 94.1, and stay tuned for live updates on the fundraising.  If you bump into me there, donate to the cause and you could win yourself some Full Line Ag Fun Bucks. It’s always a pleasure talking to Ken, and I am so excited to be a part of helping all these wonderful animals find their forever homes. The Swift Current SPCA is reaching record numbers on their dog waitlist, so this event is very important in providing funding for the cause.

Later on Saturday, I will be making my way to the Grasslands National Park, where I will tour around the West Block, starting at the Frenchman Valley Campground. After that, I plan on visiting the historic Wait Larson Homestead, and hopefully do a little bit of hiking through the beautiful native prairies. There will be plenty to enjoy on my hike, from prairie dog towns, to teepee rings. I spent quite a bit of time there last year, and I can’t wait to go back. As one of the biggest dark sky preserves in the nation, I really loved getting to stargaze and truly experience a proper prairie night.
