radiothon - final total copy copy

This year the 6th Annual Pharmasave 'Your Family's Health' Radiothon raised $125,950 in just 28 hours.

The Radiothon wrapped up Friday all in support of the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation with the money raised going towards the purchase of a Versapulse Holmium Laser for the Cypress Regional Hospital.

"The people of Saskatchewan in this corner of the province exhibited their generosity, and gave us such a phenomenal total," said Sean Finell, Public Relations Co-ordinator for the Foundation. "It's all we could ask for and more and you just can't thank people enough. In essence, I guess they're thanking themselves. They're investing in healthcare, they're investing in their future. They want to make sure they have the healthcare they need here locally in the southwest corner of the province."

Executive Director with the Foundation, Clay Thompson adds that this is an event that will continue on into the future.

"This is our largest single project that we host on an annual basis," he added. "It's been very very good to us over the years, and it's great that we've been able to continue it on, and it's good that it continues to grow and do very well for us. It's an important part of our annual plan and it will stay on the agenda for the future."

Over $1 millon has been raised for the Foundation Radiothon's six-year history.
