Prpick Boss Enterprises & Multisport Club was raising money over the weekend by giving people the opportunity to do some competitive running.

The 2018 Speedy Creek Harvest Hustle Run occurred over the weekend, where the club partnered with SaskAbilities to raise money and awareness for the charity.

The event which hosted one kilometre, two kilometre, five kilometre, and 10 kilometre runs, took a portion of application fees to put towards SaskAbilities, as well as an online donation page.

Just over 50 participants took part across all three races.

The funds raised from the event have yet to be announced.

Stephanie Prpick-Boss, the co-founder of Pripic Boss Enterprises & Multisport Club, said that it was wonderful being able to partner with the non-profit.

"The partnership and collaboration with Swift Current SaskAbilities was wonderful, we were able to host an event that we were able to enjoy the Chinook Pathway, and help support and promote SaskAbilities."

Michelle Poirier, community relations coordinator with SaskAbilities, said that the event was well put together.

"It was a great event, it was well organized, like I said it provided volunteer opportunities for people of all abilities, and it was just great to see a bunch of different people from the whole community to come out and participate in the run, whether they walked the 1k, 2K, ran the 5K, ran the 10K, it was just great to see everyone come out."

Poirier said that the funds will be evenly dispersed to support those experiencing disabilities.
