Recent concerns from property owners about ATVs being driven on their land have prompted RCMP to remind operators about the Saskatchewan All Terrain Vehicles Act.

According to the Act, ATVs are not allowed on private property or leased Crown Land, unless the operator has permission from the land owner or occupant.

As well, riders must have a helmet on at all times, and operators must be over 16 years of age with a valid driver's license, unless the ATV is being driven on their own land.

RCMP reminds the public that operators will be issued tickets or have their vehicles seized if they break those laws.
