A Swift Current man, who was facing a number of drug-related charges, in connection with the Swift Current and area drug busts that took place on September 25th of last year, has elected the court he wishes to be tried in.

     Forty-six-year-old Robert Scott Regier has elected to be tried in the Court of Queen's Bench by a judge alone.

     He is facing two counts of cocaine trafficking, one count of possession of marijuana, and two counts of possession of proceeds obtained by crime.

     Regier's case has been adjourned until June 30th for a preliminary inquiry.
