RM and City fire crews respond to blaze southwest of town

Firefighters were dispatched this morning to combat a blaze a few miles southwest of Swift Current. There was quite a bit of smoke coming from land south of the grain terminals west of town on Highway 1.

The RM of Swift Current and the City of Swift Current's fire departments haven't been able to comment as of 12:30 p.m. as they're still on scene.

Smoke had already disipated considerably around noon.

RCMP members and SaskPower were also in the vicinity.
