A children's event at the Swift Current Regional Library is continuing to grow each and every week.

Romp 'n' Read is a weekly event that features literacy-based activity stations for children ages 3-6.

Tekeyla Friday, with the Library says plenty of effort goes into the program.

"A lot of imagination goes into these programs, as well as creativity. The majority of the puppet shows we perform, I actually write, due to the fact that when I first started I realized that the only puppet shows in existence that I could find were written in the 1970's and 1980's, and I don't know if you've noticed but kids don't have the same attention span as I used to. They like action, they want conflict and they want a happy ending," she said.

Romp 'n' Read takes place every Friday at 10:30am until 11:30am.
