The employees are taking part in TelCare, and are in total donating $16,700.

"TelCare is an organization that is made up of Sasktel employees who voluntarily sign up for an automatic payroll deduction," said Sasktel External Communications Manager Tara Tibeau, "and of that automatic deduction, it goes into a fund that is allocated by district."

Tibeau added the seven organization recieving donations in Swift Current are Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan, The Arthritis Society, Canadian Mental Health Association, The SPCA, Salvation Army, Saskatchewan Abilities Council and the South West Crisis Centre.

"Each district has members, and every contributing member would have the right to put forth a vote on the organizations that are supported, a lot of the districts have connections and relations with particular organizations."

She also added Sasktel donates 50 cents for every dollar put into the TelCare Fund.
