The Chinook School Division is gearing up for another school year as teachers are already back at work with students set to return September 3rd.

Full Interview with Liam Choo-Foo"It's going to be an exciting year as we look at year three for the math momentum program," said Director of the Chinook School Division, Liam Choo-Foo. "As we move forward with some new strategies in the teaching of math under the umbrella of what we call guided math and developing an intervention for students that are still struggling in their learning of math."

Choo-Foo added that they are looking to start up some pilot programs as well to help some students who aren't learning at the levels the school division expects from them.

"We are going to be starting some pilots in five of our school throughout Chinook about using the specialists we have to bridge the gaps to help some of the students in the system who are not learning at the levels that we expect out of them," said Choo-Foo.

He also noted that construction of the Ecole Centennial school in Swift Current is on time and on budget thus far.
