Age Friendly Shaunavon is hosting a Seniors Wellness Day full of resources and activities for residents navigating their golden years.

Senior Resource Coordinator for the non-profit, Vanessa Cruthers, said everyone is invited to attend the event happening October 12.

“We’re having different facilitators come in and put on either classes or workshops on issues that seniors are facing,” she said. “So, some of those are an advanced healthcare directive, art, medication awareness, we have grief and change, we have exercise—and it's free of charge.”

Coffee and lunch will also be provided for the day at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre.

The first 50 people to RSVP will receive a complimentary wellness package. To sign up, email or call Age Friendly at 306-294-7653 before October 1.

“On top of socializing and getting together and finding a community of people like minded people,” Cruthers said. “It’s just to get out, learn some new information, maybe help with things that they're facing today.”
