According to a warning issued by Environment Canada, their meteorologists are currently tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

This severe thunderstorm is located 13 kilometres southwest of Success, moving east at 35 km/h towards Swift Current, Cantuar, Beverley, Rhineland and Rosenhof.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury.

They are reminding folks that severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, and torrential rainfall.
