The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting 78 new COVID-19 cases in the province in today's update.

The break down of the cases there is 3 in the Far North West, 1 in the Far North East, 2 in the North West, 11 in North Central, 3 in the North East, 33 in Saskatoon, 3 in Central East, 21 in Regina, and 1 in the South East.

This brings the provincial total number of cases to 2,669, with 574 of the cases considered active.

In the southwest region, there are two active cases.

There were 15 more recoveries reported, bringing the provincial total to 2,070.

Twenty-one people are in hospital. Seventeen people are receiving inpatient care; eight in the Saskatoon zone, one in the Regina zone, and eight in the North zone. Four people are in intensive care; three in Saskatoon and one in Regina.

The total number of COVID deaths remains at 25.

To date, there have been 245,292 COVID-19 tests done in the province.

Yesterday, 2,792 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
