The weekend storm that hit the southwest brought power outages, icy highways, and of course, lots of snow.

Crews in Shaunavon have been working hard since Wednesday to clear the roads so folks can get to where they need to go.

The town’s Public Works staff have released the schedule for snow clearing and are asking folks to park off the streets to make room for graders; any vehicles not moved beforehand will be towed.

Areas highlighted in the maps below have been assigned a day that they will be graded, starting at midnight on each scheduled day. Equipment will come take the snow away the evening following the grading.

According to a release from the Town, Public Works staff follow a list of locations in priority sequence in the event that a heavy snowfall occurs where it limits mobility. These locations prioritize emergency routes and high traffic areas, then progress to side streets.
