June 23 is National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism.

The Town of Shaunavon has lowered flags to half-mast to recognize this day.

The National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism recognizes the anniversary of the bombing of Air India Flight 182 off the coast of Ireland in 1985.

In total, 329 people lost their lives, many of whom were Canadian. This marks the largest terrorist attack in Canadian history.

The Town of Shaunavon joins the country in honoring the victims of the bombing, as well as other acts of terrorist violence that have taken lives.
