Bob Allemand of Shaunavon has recently received a very prestigious honor.

Bob was recognized for his extraordinary achievement and contribution to Saskatchewan with a 50 year Service Award from Henry Kelsey as an Official Measurer.

He is the longest serving measurer in the province and explains how it all started, "At the time, I was doing taxidermy work, and people would come down with heads and want them measured. And I got connected with one of the two official measurers for the province, and he kind of took me under his wing and kind of showed me a few things about measuring big game. So, that's kinda how I got started.

A member of the Shaunavon Wildlife Federation, Bob says he enjoys seeing all the big game animals that he measures.
