Shaunavon's Director of Wellness and Leisure, Ava Kalaschnick has been awarded the honour of Most Outstanding Up and Coming Recreation Professional in the province.
This award is given by the Saskatchewan Association of Recreational Professionals to those persons who have been in the field for ten year or less in the province.
Ava has been with the Town of Shaunavon for three years now and Town Adminstrator Jay Meyer says this award is very well deserved.
"We're very proud of her accomplishments in what she has done," he said. "Ava has helped us immensley, and we're proud of what she's accomplished, not only in her own career, but in the Town of Shaunavon itself."
Kalaschnick will be awarded her prize today at the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Conference in Swift Current.
