SWT has chosen 3 charities in Swift Current to shine a light on and with your votes, one of them will receive $5000 to go towards their organization.

You can VOTE for your favourite charity before end of December on SC Online link.  

Kidsport helps make sure that all children in our community have a chance to play in organized sports.  They are a provincial organization and raise money from corporate and pesonal donations from the community.  Every dollar that is raised goes towards funding kids who's families can't afford to get them into sports and stays in our community.

This year they have helped close to 164 kids and provided $46,000 funding to local sporting organizations to help kids get involved in sports in our community.

They starts Kidsport Chapter in Swift Current back in 1996 and since then have raised over $500,000.00 and helped over 3,000 kids play sports & families really appreciate the help that Kidsport provides to keep their kids active and enjoying sports. 

There are several organizations that they support like hockey, baseball, archery, swimming and so many more and they are all available at Citywide Registration where the community can find out more about Kidsport and their services and how to apply.

Their belief is that all kids deserve to have a chance to play sports.  They work with local organizations to assist to get those kids into the rinks, pools & gumnasiums in Swift Current.
