Winter has arrived in Saskatchewan, and that means snow plows will be out to make sure our highways are safe for driving.

Kirsten Leatherdale with the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure says drivers have to stay back and stay safe when they see a plow on the road:

Leatherdale reminds drivers to slow down and do not try to pass a plow unless you can see perfectly clear past it, and adds plows stop every 10 kilometres or so to allow drivers to pass safely.

It is now the law that drivers must slow to 60 kilometres per hour when passing a snowplow, whether it's moving or not.
