The community of Blumenort swelled in population this past weekend thanks to a highly-attended Fall Market.

Over 200 vehicles passed through the gates at the Garden of Eden Greenhouse & Gifts within the first two hours of the event on Saturday.

Elli Friesen, marketing and customer service manager for the Garden of Eden Greenhouse & Gifts, believes over 1,000 people stopped by the six-hour market.

"I was blown away by the community again, like every market it's been like that," she said. "Our markets seem to get bigger and bigger each time."

Last year they held four mini-markets throughout the fall season with a few vendors at each one. This go-around they expanded that number exponentially hosting around 40.

"Overall they did really well," she said. "I had some that were just ecstatic with the turnout. Everyone just said that there was no lull in people the whole day."

The event was more than just for shopping purposes. It provided kids and even adults with some fun, including a bale maze, photo booth, bouncy castle, petting zoo, axe throwing, and pie contest.

"[We had] so many comments that it was like the olden days, that country fair feeling, getting together and doing a whole fall festival," she said. "People were really pumped about it, I had a lot of great comments."

Next up for the Garden of Eden is their Christmas Market on December 3 which will feature wagon rides and Santa.
