Team Saskatchewan's final roster for the Canada Winter Games was announced on Wednesday with 317 athletes, coaches and mission staff from 60 different communities competing in 20 sports at the event.

Eleven athletes and one coach will come from the southwest, including nine U18 AAA hockey players from the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires and Innovation Credit Union Wildcats.

The Canada Winter Games are being held in Prince Edward Island from February 18 to March 5.

In addition, a large number of local athletes will be part of Team South West for the Saskatchewan Winter Games, which run from February 19-25 in Regina, competing in a variety of sports including badminton, judo, wrestling, curling, futsal and Special Olympics bowling.
