The Swift Current Minor Girls Softball Association, and southwest softball as a whole, has put their operations in a state of suspension amid COVID-19 in accordance with Softball Saskatchewan.

Softball Sask sent a message from their board of directors that all activities including practices, team activities, umpire clinics and camps will remain suspended until April 14. They said that they’ll re-evaluate the possibility of any further suspension of activity in early April.

The SCMGSA posted on their Facebook page this week saying they're still collection registrations for the 2020 season, though cheques and e-transfers will not be cashed or accepted until receiving an update from Softball Sask.

They note that, should the provincial organization rule to cancel the 2020 softball season, player registrations will be refunded in full.

We'll provide more information when updates occur.
