The Shaunavon Taekwondo Club are holding their annual Sparfest this Saturday in Shaunavon.

Instructor, Pete Allen, says this is a fun year-end celebration that gives the students a chance to demonstrate the skills that they have learned throughout the season. He adds, “This is a non-elimination tournament in that the kids get to pick their own sparring partners. We also do Poomsae and the best part is Board Breaking..the kids really look forward to that.”

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art and club members range in age from five to adult.

Along with the local club members, students will also be in attendance from clubs in Medicine Hat, Lucky Lake, Swift Current, Moose Jaw and Regina.

Sparfest goes in the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center in Shaunavon Saturday from ten a.m. until four p.m.
