The City of Swift Current's annual residential street sweeping program is set to begin today. The city has been split up into 14 different areas, and the aim is to have at least one of those areas swept each day.
Today, areas 9 and 10 will be swept... they are the streets south of Hillcrest Drive and north of Walker Street, and between 13th Avenue Northeast and Memorial Drive, formerly known as the Highway 4 bypass.
Sweeping will take place between 8:00am and 5:00pm, and residents are being asked to move their vehicles off the street for the sweeping. Updates on the program and a map of the 14 street sweeping areas can be found on swiftcurrent.ca.
