All three AA Broncos squads were in action on the weekend, and all three managed to come away with some much-needed points at home.

The U18 Abbey Resource Broncos split a double-header against the still unbeaten Regina Capitals.  They'd fall 5-1 on Friday at Fairview  West.

The Capitals would get on the board 12 seconds into the game as Gavin Okerstrom would fire a feed from Cohen Boehm past Cade Doane in the net.  Okerstrom would score his second of the night and sixth of the season four minutes later, this time on a pass from Nate Silvester.

It would take until the middle of the third period for Swift Current to get onto the goal sheet, as Carson Sabine would pot his sixth of the season to cut the lead to 4-1 and put a damper on Jaxon Staranchuk's shutout bid.

But Regina would add another one, this time short-handed, to put the game out of reach.

Hunter Arntsen would come into the net for Swift Current on Saturday afternoon for the rematch.  He'd find himself in a goalie-duel against Jordan Weatherall, as both tenders would go through regulation allowing nothing past.  Weatherall would face 28 Swift Current shots while Arntsen would backstop all 46 shots from the Capitals.

Swift Current's Austin Calkins would pot the winner in overtime.

The U18s are back in action tonight as they head down the road to face off against the Notre Dame hounds.

The U15 Pure Chem Broncos squad meanwhile took both of their matchups on the weekend.

Parker Rondeau would net the first four goals for Swift Current on Saturday, exploding in the second after a scoreless first.  Wesly Olson would add a pair while Chase Peterson would add a single tally of his own while Jace Egland and Kai Packet would each add 3 helpers to their season tallies in the 7-1 win.

On Sunday Rondeau would strike again, this time getting the tying marker against Grayson Malinoski to send the match to overtime, where he would go on to score the game-winner with just under four minutes remaining.

Rondeau's 6 point weekend takes him to 13 goals and 9 assists for 22 points in 13 games.

And finally, the U13 Southwest Terminal Squad met up with the Estevan Bruins on Sunday, after their Saturday matchup was postponed due to winter road conditions.

The Broncos continue to dominate the U13 standings after taking the 7-1 victory.  Currently sitting at 8-0-1 in the South Sask standings.

They'll pick up the sticks and head down to Yorkton on Saturday to take on the second place Terriers.
