Hey, guys!

This was a huge weekend for everyone in Swift Current! With Frontier Days and of course Swift Current's Centennial Homecoming Weekend, it was definitely a great weekend to be out and about in the community.

Frontier Days was a blast, as it always is. Despite the weather not being super cooperative, we made the best of it and had a wonderful time at the fair grounds.

The CCA Rodeo was a great time and they put on a fantastic show for everyone who attended. The popular rodeo clown, Lee Bellows, got quite a few laughs as he went "turkey hunting"... or as most would call it, shooting people with marshmallows. In spite of my marshmallow war wounds, I had a great time! The CCA Rodeo was definitely one for the books.

The Welcome Home Address was lovely. The Dead South opened up the ceremonies with some really awesome music! If you missed them at the Long Day's Night Festival, you had a second chance to see them perform at the SIGA Centennial Pavillion.

Touching 'back home' poetry was read, and speakers Mayor Jarod Schafer and Premier Brad Wall spoke wonderful words in essence of our centennial. It was a great way to celebrate Swift Current with such sincere and thoughtful praise towards our city. Thank you to all who attended and participated in the Welcome Home Address!

Various shows were put on for families. From circus shows to magicians, Frontier Days had it all!

Of course, the grandstands were packed for the Big and Rich concert. The cabarets also had a pretty good turnout, hosting Streetheart, Prism, and Wyatt.

It was a fantastic weekend, and we are so fortunate to have events like these. Especially for our centennial! A big thank you to everyone who made this weekend possible.
