As the southwest continues to grow in numbers, the diversity in culture expands and flourishes—something residents in Swift Current are getting ready to celebrate.

To start the next three weeks of Culture Days, the Culture Fest will be popping up in the Stockade Building at Kinetic Park on Saturday for an afternoon full of activities and food.

Brad Woods with the City of Swift Current said they’re excited for their second year of celebrating the national event.

“It's our version of a one stop shop for celebrating communities and diverse cultures through food samplings, crafts, live performance and arts,” he said. “So, lots of activities, lots of cool things for kids and families to do.”

Running from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the day will feature an Orange Shirt Day Activity, a Blacksmith Demonstration, a Performance Stage, Henna Tattoos, ArchaeoCaravan with Gabriel Lamarche, and the Make & Take a Kite Building Workshop.

To go along with the activities happening at the Stockade Buidling, attendees will be able to fill up at the Food Fair on site and enjoy live music and dancing at the performance stage.
