Telemiracle is Saskatchewan's charity.

Over the 39 years of Telemiracle, the people of Saskatchewan have raised over $111 million, and helped individuals in over 400 communities.

Brenna Ekstrand lives in Swift Current and sits on the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation Board. She recalls one story when Telemiracle approved the funding for a Saskatchewan man in need.

"We have organizational and personal applications," she explained. "Telemiracle has to be your funder of last resort. So, once you fill out an application, it will go to the board and the board will make a decision whether we'll help you with funding."

She recalls one story when Telemiracle approved the funding for a Saskatchewan man in need.

"He needed a special piece of equipment, and when I phone and told him that he received it, the lady screamed in my ear and then the phone when dead,' Ekstrand said. "And then another lady picked up the phone and the lady was sobbing. It made that much of a difference in this man's life - that's pretty powerful!"

Telemiracle 40 will be presented live from Conexus Arts Centre in Regina and broadcast on CTV, March 5th and 6th.
