Premier Brad Wall is saying "no" to a potential foreign takeover of Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan.

He offered his formal opinion of the $38.6 billion hostile take-over by Australia's BHP Billiton at a business luncheon in Regina earlier this afternoon.

Wall says the deal will not provide any net benefit to the province, or Canada, and there's no way he can support it.

The deal can still be supported by PotashCorp shareholders, and the Federal Government must also approve it. It's rumoured that Ottawa will give the approval; however, BHP must agree to most of Saskatchewan's demands.
