In the August 13 COVID-19 Update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 125 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 125 new cases there are 12 in the Far North West zone, 2 in the  Far North Central zone, 15 in the Far North East zone, 4 in the North West zone, 21 in the North Central zone, 4 in the North East zone, 18 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 4 in the Central East zone, 7 in the Regina zone, 15 in the South Central zone, and 14 in the South East zone.

There are 4 new cases reported in the South West zone - 3 in the South West subzone 1, and 1 in the South West subzone 2.

There are 4 new cases with pending residence information.

One case from August 11 with pending residence information has been assigned to the North West zone.

Three cases were deemed to be non-Saskatchewan residents and removed from the South Center zone (1 from July 7), 1 from April 18 with pending location, and 1 from July 10 with pending location.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 51,034, of which 893 are considered active.

There are 47 active cases in the South West zone - 21 in the South West subzone 1, and 26 in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 98 (8.1 new cases per 100,000 population).

Just over one-third (35.2%) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 age category.

There were no new deaths reported, leaving that provincial total at 586.

There were 22 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 49,555.

There are 73 people in the hospital - 64 receiving inpatient care and 9 in intensive care.

Of the 73 patients in hospital, 54 (74%) are not fully vaccinated.

To date 982,596 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 2,195 COVID-19 tests processed.

Of the 8,462 variants of concern cases identified by whole genome sequencing in the province, 7,085 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 10 are Beta (B.1.351), 433 are Gamma (P.1), and 934 are Delta (B.1.617.2).

There were 2,539 COVID-19 vaccines given in Saskatchewan yesterday, bringing the total number administered to 1,441,816.

There are 672,703 Saskatchewan residents who are now fully vaccinated.
