Saturday December 4 will be a fun day in Shaunavon as they celebrate their Boomtown Christmas.

The day will include horse drawn wagon rides, the lighting of the Christmas Tree and the annual Parade of Lights.

Starting November 29 you can pick up a Chamber Business bingo card with your purchase at participating businesses in the community.

Then the bingo will take place at six p.m. on December 4 just before the tree lighting.

Garrett Thienes, President of the Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce said, "We're gonna have a short, quick bingo game using the Chamber member businesses. And there's going to be a heck of a grand prize for the winner who wins it, including Chamber Cheques and gift certificates at local businesses. It's just a really unique package. It's just a one big winner one, so the more you shop and the more bingo cards you collect, I guess the better your change of winning it are."

Following the bingo game at 6:30 the Tree Lighting will occur with a performance from The Stayin Alive Choir.

The Parade of Lights will follow at 7  p.m. and the day will wrap up at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center with a bonfire, hot chocolate, an acoustic performance and the fireworks display.
