The Center is planning on taking 10 students from Swift Current and the southwest to an Urban X Camp at Christopher Lake, August 3rd to 8th, for youth ages 14 to 18.

The Center will be providing transportation and all costs will be covered by donations, which means NO cost to parents.

"It's probably a total of $500 with the gas and everything to have a kid go to camp. It gets them out of the rut of maybe being in the same place all the time in the summer, they meet new people, it's an opportunity to get involved in some urban art or wakeboarding," said Jim Magee, The Center's Executive Director.

Camp Kadesh (www.campkadesh.com) is north of Prince Albert near Waskesiu, and there are plenty of things for kids to do.

"There's two basic aspects to the camp, there's a wake camp where the students focus on the sport of wakeboarding and they will spend 5 or 6 hours a day on the lake with wakeboarding coaches and then there is the urban art camp where the camp is partnering with Legacy One, which is a hip-hop dance team. They will teach kids how to express the biblical truth and the art forms of dance, spoken word and graffiti art. So it's a pretty awesome opportunity for kids to go," said Magee. "We have six spots left, it's basically on a first come first serve basis. We would leave on August 3rd, that's a Sunday at 1pm, and we would be returning on the 8th at around 10:30 at night."
