The community of Gull Lake will officially kick off the summer season this Wednesday afternoon with their first Spring Market

Lindsay Alliban, Economic Development Officer for the town of Gull Lake, said, "We're having our first market of the season on May 18, and it's gonna run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Proton Avenue. And there's gonna be lots of vendors, and all of the businesses in that street are doing fun specials and street sales."

During the day there will also be axe throwing and some live entertainment.

The Market will bring out many vendors selling baking, soaps, handmade crafts and bedding plants plus much more

Alliban says they are looking forward to holding the markets, which usually have from 12-18 vendors in attendance, throughout the summer.

You can also take in the United Church Soup and Sandwich fundraiser for Ukraine in the Elks Hall, and the Gull Lake EDC will be holding a Burger Special at Last Chance Bar and Grill, with $5.00 from each purchase going to the EDC.

Upcoming Markets will take place June 8 and June 22, July 13 and 27, August 10 and 24, and September 14.
