In the June 14 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting 55 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 55 new cases there is 1 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North East zone, 4 in the North West zone, 2 in the North Central zone, 23 in the Saskatoon zone, 3 in the Central West zone, 3 in the Central East zone, 12 in the Regina zone, 3 in the South Central zone, and 1 in the South East zone.

There are 2 new cases in the South West zone - both in the South West subzone  2.

One case with pending residence information has been assigned to the North West zone.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 47,996, of which 774 are considered active.

There are 21 active cases in the South West zone - 4 in the South West subzone 1, and 17 in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 76 (6.2 new cases per 100,000 population). This is the lowest seven-day average since November 4, 2020.

There were 89 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 46,666.

There was 1 new death reported in the 80+ age group from the Saskatoon zone.

That brings the provincial total number of deaths to 556.

There are 95 people in the hospital. Seventy-six people are receiving inpatient care - 10 in the North West zone, 6 in the North Central zone, 30 in the Saskatoon zone, 4 in the Central East zone, 21 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 2 in the South East zone.

There are 2 people receiving inpatient care in the South West zone.

There are 19 people in intensive care - 2 in the North West zone, 3 in the North Central zone, 6 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central East zone, and 6 in the Regina zone.

There is 1 person in intensive care in the South West zone.

To date there has been 889,712 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 1,691 COVID-19 tests processed.

As of June 13, there were a total of 11,726 variants of concern  cases identified by screening in the province - 286 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 79 in the Far North East zone, 747 in the North West zone, 586 in the North Central zone, 77 in the North East zone, 2,019 in the Saskatoon zone, 121 in the Central West zone, 628 in the Central East zone, 4,739 in the Regina zone,  867 in t he South Central zone, and 1,113 in the South East zone.

There was a total of  396 in the South West zone.

There are 67 screened variants of concern cases with residence pending.

No new lineage results are reported.

Of the 6,199 variants of  concern cases with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing, 5,932 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 208 are Gamma (P.1), 49 are Delta (B.1.617.2), and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).

An additional 9,928 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered to 903,442.

Of those 9,928 vaccine doses there were 59 administered in the South West zone.

Seventy-nine percent of those over the age of 40, 73% of those over 30, 69% of those over 18, and 67% of those over 12 have received their first vaccine dose.

If just 1% of Saskatchewan adults get their first COVID-19 vaccine in the next 6 days, the province will begin Step Three of it Re-Opening Roadmap on July 11.

Currently 69% of those 18 and older have now received their first dose. If just 3% of eligible residents get their first COVID-19 shot in the next 6 days, the province will also lift all remaining public health restriction on July 11.
