In the June 4 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 89 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 89 new cases there are 4 in the Far North West zone, 13 in the Far North East zone, 9 in the North West zone, 6 in the North Central zone, 2 in the North East zone, 20 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 5 in the Central East zone, 12 in the Regina zone, 11 in the South Central zone, and 5 in the South East zone.

There are no new cases reported in the South West zone.

There is 1 new case with pending residence information.

Three cases have been assigned as follows - 1 to the Far North West zone, and 2 to the North West zone.

That brings the total provincial number of cases to 47,186, of which 1,292 are considered active.

There are 35 active cases in the South West zone- 6 in the South West subzone 1, and 29 in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 129 (10.5 new cases per 100,000 population).

There were no new deaths reported, leaving the provincial total number of deaths at 543.

There were 111 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 45,351.

There are 101 people in the hospital. Eighty people are receiving inpatient care - 1 in the Far North West zone, 12 in the North West zone, 6 in the North Central zone, 1 in the North East zone, 28 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 3 in the Central East zone, 22 in the Regina zone, 2 in the South Central zone, and 3 in the South East zone.

There is 1 person receiving inpatient care in the South West zone.

There are 21 people in intensive care, including 2 out of the province transfers from Manitoba - 1 in the North Central zone, 10 in the Saskatoon zone, 2 in the Central East zone, and 6 in the Regina zone.

There are 2 people in intensive care in the South West zone.

To date, there has been 870,689 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 2,599 COVID-19 tests processed.

As of June 3 there were a total of 11,119 variants of concern cases identified by screening in the province - 258 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 65 in the Far North East zone, 647 in the North West zone, 505 in the North Central zone, 67 in the North East zone, 1,830 in the Saskatoon zone, 111 in the Central West zone, 609 in the Central East zone, 4,686 in the Regina zone, 800 in the South Central zone, and 1,088 in the South East zone.

There were a total of 384 in the South West zone.

There are 68 screened variants of concern cases with residence pending.

There are 85 new lineage results reported.

Of the 5,879 variants of concern with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing, 5,656 are B.1.1.1.7(UK), 181 are P.1 (Brazilian), 32 are B.1.617 (Indian), and 10 are B.1.351(SA).

An additional 15,633 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in the province, bringing the total number administered to 770,463.

Of those 15,633 vaccine doses there were 551 administered in the South West zone.

Seventy-seven percent of those over the age of 40, 72% of those over 30, and 67% of those over 18 have received their first vaccine dose.

Sixty-four percent of those 12 years and older have also received their first vaccine dose.

Saskatchewan is expecting to receive 12,400 doses of Moderna this week. All shipments were delivered yesterday, with the exception of Weyburn's (900 doses), which will be delivered later today (June 4).
