In the October 14 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 315 new confirmed cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 315 new cases there are 12 in the Far North West zone, 20 in the Far North East zone, 60 in the North West zone, 25 in the North Central zone, 12 in the North East zone, 72 in the Saskatoon zone, 2 in the Central West zone, 26 in the Central East zone, 29 in the Regina zone,  8 in the South Central zone, and 28 in the South East zone.

There are 5 new confirmed cases in the South West zone - all in the South West subzone 2.

There are 16 new cases with pending residence information.

Eighteen cases with pending residence information have been reassigned as follows - 3 to the Far North West zone, 1 to the Far North East zone, 1 to the North West zone, 3 to the North Central zone, 3 to the Saskatoon zone, 1 to the Central East zone, 4 to the Regina zone, 1 to the South Central zone, and 1 to the South East zone.

Twenty-two non-Saskatchewan residents were removed as follows - 1 from the North West zone, and 21 from pending locations.

More than one- quarter (29.2%) of new cases were in the 20 to 39 age category.

More than one-quarter (27.0%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and over) were fully vaccinated.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 418 (34.7 new cases per 100,000 population).

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 73,350, of which 4,294 are considered active.

There are 151 active cases in the South West zone - 58 in the South West subzone 1, and 93 in the South West subzone 2.

The Weekly Monitoring Report for Children and Youth aged 0 to 19 years for the week of September 27-October 3, shows the provincial total number of active cases in children and youth is 1,527.

Of those 25 have location and residence information unavailable.

There are 60 active cases in children and youth in the Far North West zone, 2 in the Far North Central zone, 70 in the Far North East zone, 213 in the North West zone, 154 in the North Central zone, 57 in the North East zone, 35 in the Central West zone, 89 in the Central East zone, 366 in the Saskatoon zone, 180 in the Regina zone, 100 in the South Central zone, 61 in the South East zone, and 86 in the South West zone - 45 in the South West subzone 1, and 41 in the South West subzone 2.

There were 417 recoveries reported, 26 of those in the South West zone, bringing the provincial total number of recoveries to 68,287.

There were 5 new deaths reported, bringing that provincial total to 769.

There are 335 people in the hospital - 260 receiving inpatient care, and 75 in intensive care.

Of those 335 patients, 251 (74.9%) were not fully vaccinated.

Of the 12,864 variants of concern cases identified by whole genome sequencing in the province, 7,123 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 10 are Beta (B.1.351), 484 are Gamma (P.1), and 5,247 are Delta (B.1.617.2).

To date, 1,183,449 COVID-19 tests have bee processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 2,881 COVID-19 tests processed.

There were 3,467 vaccines administered yesterday, 78 of them in the South West zone, bringing the provincial number of vaccinations to 1,611,847.

There are 759,582 Saskatchewan residents who are fully vaccinated.
