For the first time in 25 years, the Swift Current Broncos will be playing hockey in the month of May at the Innovation Credit Union iplex, as they look to capture the Ed Chynoweth Cup for the third time since returning to the city when they take on the Everett Silvertips in the WHL Championship!

The excitement in the community for the Broncos this season has been unlike anyone's ever seen, and it will only ramp up even more with the City of Swift Current and the Swift Current Curling Club organizing tailgate parties for both games 1 and 2 on Friday and Saturday in the curling rink at the iplex. The fun starts at 3:00pm with fun and free activities for hockey fans of all ages, and then at 7:00pm as the game starts in the hockey arena, fans without a game ticket can view the action on the big screen in the curling rink for just $5.00!

Swift Current Mayor Denis Perrault and Jeff Chambers, who's helping organize the tailgate parties, joined Colin in studio on Friday morning

Games 3 & 4 will be in Everett on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:00pm our time, and fans here in Swift Current can also watch the games at the iplex those nights free of charge! The game stream will be broadcast on the scoreboard and there will also be full concession and bar services as well!
