The third Seed N Feed winner has just received a huge meal to fuel his crew for their hard work to come.

Ron Blomme owns a farm south of Shaunavon and was happy to have a break at the busiest time of the season. He and his crew dined on the K Motel & Restaurant’s famous lasagna and garlic bread, but not for long. His crew, consisting of his son and two grandsons, had to make it back out to the field as rain may be on its way.

“Right now, we’re seeding mustard, doing some spraying, and poisoning gophers too,” explained Blomme. “We're going to get out there and get going.”

Blomme and his family have had the handsome plot since 1913, making it over a century old.

The meal’s sponsor, Finning CAT sent along Dan Getz, who was happy to break bread with fellow land breakers.

“It’s a great day to come out and meet new farmers in the community,” stated Getz. “We followed it up with a great meal from a local restaurant. I have to say it’s always great to network with local farmers.”
