Everyone was in a festive spirit last night as the annual Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting was held in Swift Current.
For the kids, the most popular guy there was Santa Claus and they knew what they were going to ask him for this year:
A crowd of several hundred people came out for the tree lighting, some hot chocolate and Christmas carols.
The community Christmas tree will be lit up in downtown Swift Current at the BMO-Bank of Montreal Courtyard for the holiday season.
