On Saturday the Swift Current Mall was bustling with people who were out experiencing the Falling into Fall Trade Show.

The show was held in the Swift Current Mall and featured booths from all around the southwest, as well as some local ones.

Forty vendors came out to the event to sell their goods, and 27 other vendors had to be turned away due to space restrictions.

All proceeds from the table rentals are being donated to the Swift Current Judo Club.

Meghan Ginter, vice president of the Swift Current Judo Club, said that while the funds raised would greatly benefit the club, they were just as interested as getting people interested in joining judo.

"The club has probably about 25 kids right now, it used to have a lot more active members, so we're hoping to see by putting something like this on that we can create enough word of mouth and things like that, just so people are interested in the sport of judo again."

Members of the judo club were also selling chocolates, honey, and raffle tickets to raise funds.

Ginter said that the funds raised from the event will be going towards sending athletes to provincial meets.

"The club sponsors children to go on long provincial tournaments so we have three members of our club that are going to Quebec Open and Ontario Open which the club has sponsored (them) to go, so with active members like that it spends a lot of money and we are just hoping to just bring back into the club so we can keep it open."

Ginter said that they hope to be able to host the trade show next year as well.
