According to Environment Canada, there is a potential that two tornados touched down in Saskatchewan on Thursday night.

One tornado was spotted northwest of Moose Jaw near Morse and the second potential tornado was near the Manitoba border.

Environment Canada will confirm later today whether or not these tornados actually touched down.

Danielle Desjardins, Meteorologist with Environment Canada says we could see some lasting effects of the storm throughout the next several days. "We are seeing the remnants of that system track east, so the bulk of the severe weather we are expecting will be near Manitoba," says Dejardins, "in general we are expecting thunderstorms to develop but we are not expecting them to be severe."

She says a few lingering showers could be possible on Saturday, but Sunday is expected to be dry.

A ridge of high pressure will make its way to the area on Tuesday, bringing seasonal temperatures.
