(Garret, second from the left, and the Shadows coaching staff celebrate their provincial title on November 11)

After going 33 years without one, Garret Glasrud has coached the Shaunavon Shadows to two 2A 9 man high school football provincial championships in the last 3 years including this year on November 11 with a 24-7 win over Indian Head.

Garret and his staff have done a tremendous job with the football program in Shaunavon and along the way taught the young men on the team valuable life lessons like hard work, team work, and working together towards a common goal.  The Shadows provincial championship runs have also generated tremendous community excitement and pride in Shaunavon with huge support from the entire town.

For the great job he's done with high school football in Shaunavon and helping to keep growing the sport at it's grass roots level, Garret Glasrud gets this weeks eagle applause and a gift card from Schultz's Ranch Country Meats in Morse! Congratulations Garret!!
