The U15 Pure Chem Broncos had something special to play for as they entered the weekend's Peyton Keller U15 AA Memorial tournament. And it showed.

The boys would kick off their tournament on Friday afternoon against the Notre Dame Hounds and would get off to a fast start as Weseley Olson and Mason Fauser would put the Broncos up 2-0 before the first match was 5 minutes old.

Jace Egland would take a feed from Fauser a few minutes later to add a third while Parker Rondeau would get his first of the tournament late in the period to send the Hounds to the dressing room down 4-0 at the end of the first.

The Hounds would finally solve Connor Bender midway through the second frame, but Wesely Olson would add his second of the game in the dying seconds to reclaim the four-goal lead. Swift Would add another to their lead late in the third while the Hounds would put in their second as the Broncos would take game one 6-2.

They'd take on the NEBC Trackers later that evening, and pick up where they left off. The Trackers would strike first midway through the first period, but Sam Kirwan would tie it up the final minute.

The Broncos would up the pace in the second with 6 goals including a pair from Jace Egland. Kirwan would net his second of the game late in the frame while Chase Peterson, Parker Rondeau and Mason Fauser would add singles.

The Trackers would add a second midway through the second Frame, but Rondeau would get his second of the game in the third period, while Wesely Olson would net his third of the tournament shortly after to seal the 9-2 win.

Game three against the West Central Wheat Kings would be a tighter affair, as both teams would leave the first frame tied 1-1. Riley Moberg would add a second-period marker off a helper from Rondeau and Olson. The Wheat Kings would add two of their own to briefly hold the 3-2 lead until Rondeau would step in with less than a minute to go to send it to the third tied at 3.

Wesely Oldson would pot the 4-3 winner midway through the third period to give the Broncos the sweep of the round-robin.

The Broncos would tie Yorkton for the top spot in the A-Side pool but would have to settle for the B-side final on goal differential. Swift Current would tee off against the B-pool second-place North East Wolfpack and would squeak out the victory 7-6.

Jace Egland and Wesely Olson, coming off an already stellar tournament, would dominate in the final game. Egland would score four and add a pair of assists, while Egland would net the hat-trick, including the eventual game-winner.

Parker Rondeau would add six assists in the victory and would go on to be named the top forward for the tournament all-star team.

Jace Egland would get the final game MVP honour.

The Northwest Stars would down Yorkton in the A-side final to take the top spot at the tournament.

The Broncos are now back to their regular-season action as they head to Yorkton on Friday to take on the PAC Terriers.
