Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall is trying to lure London investors after a failed takeover attempt in the province last fall.

Wall has wrapped up a trade mission to London that included meetings with business executives and the investment community.

The premier is trying to rebuild Saskatchewan's business reputation after the province pushed to block BHP Billiton's takeover bid for Saskatoon-based PotashCorp.

Wall says he wants everyone to know that Saskatchewan is still open for business.

London is one of the world's three largest financial centres and the United Kingdom is the third-largest investor in Saskatchewan.

The trip also included a visit with the Queen.

There was no mention of the visit when the trip was announced.

Photos on Wall's Facebook page show the Swift Current native shaking the Queen's hand and presenting her with a stained-glass artwork of the provincial legislature.

Wall also expressed hope that a member of the Royal Family could visit Saskatchewan next year for the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the legislative building.

On another note, Wall says his government won't make a last-minute plea to Ottawa to help fund a domed stadium for Regina.

He says no 11th-hour discussions are planned ahead of Monday's funding deadline.
