Walmart Fill the Kettle Day for Salvation Army

Today only, the public has a chance to double their donation to the Salvation Army.

For every dollar you donate, two dollars will be raised for those in need in our community, as Captain Michael Ramsay of the Salvation Army explains.

"If you bring down any cheques that you want to donate and you put them in the Walmart kettle they will match it up to $50,000," he says. "So if anybody hasn't had the chance to donate yet to the Salvation Army Christmas Campaign, or if someone would like to donate again, this Saturday is the perfect opportunity, because why not give when you could give twice as much?"

Last year, the Salvation Army raised 16,248 through Walmart's Fill the Kettle Day.
