This past Monday November 27th the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre in Shaunavon was helping get families in the Christmas spirit with their Family Christmas Craft Day.

From one until seven p.m. that day The Gallery was open to families that wanted to come in and make some holiday crafts.

Joanne Gregoire is the Director of Economic Development and Culture for the Town of Shaunavon. She says about 35 people were out for the event. "We just tried to make it a really nice, cozy Christmas atmosphere. We had Christmas music playing, and popcorn, hot chocolate, and just all sorts of Christmas crafts. You could create a Christmas ornament, or Christmas cards, or Christmas gift wrap."

Gregoire says the event was free for everyone and also included a new Christmas Photo Booth that will remain available throughout the festive season.
