A winter storm over the weekend has left many areas of the southwest covered in snow and ice.

Swift Current received 3 centimetres of snow over the weekend, and the Cypress Hills received the most at 13 centimeters.

Other areas of the province are under dangerous driving conditions due to rain and below-zero temperatures.

Currently, the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is not recommending travel on some southwest highways.  They include the #1 east and west, the #4 from the Saskatchewan Landing south to Cadillac, and the #32 to Leader.

The winter storm warning ended for the southwest at midnight last night.
