Swift Current and area was hampered with snow on Friday, and we can expect more to be coming shortly.

Around six centimetres of snow fell Friday, causing dangerous road conditions, and according to a meteorologist, we could see both rain and snow today.

Blaine Lowry, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, said that the combination could be dangerous.

"There could be some issues with that, we're not expecting freezing rain, per se, but anytime you have rain switching to snow that can become an issue."

Lowry also said that around two centimetres could be falling today, but it all depends on when the rain will stop.

Highway Hotline currently lists highway conditions in southwest Saskatchewan as wet and subject to freezing, as well as icy or slippery sections.
