The Swift Current Wolverines remained unbeaten on the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League season with an 11-6 road win over the Moose Jaw Mustangs on Saturday. 

The Wolverines jumped out to a 4-0 lead on first period goals from Paul Piche and Dawson Gates, and Shane Cornelson added a marker early in the second period. Braxton McAngus got Moose Jaw on the board on the power play 2:19 into the middle frame, but Swift Current responded with three unanswered goals from Grady Henderson, Ryder Turko and Carter Lamotte to make it 7-1. Kael Nichols scored back-to-back goals to cut Moose Jaw's deficit to 7-3 before Henderson and Turko scored to wrap up a nine-goal second period and make it 9-3 after 40 minutes. Stowe Francis scored midway through the third to make it 10-3 and MacAngus, Lucas Salikin and Jacob Gyman scored to put Moose Jaw within four with 2:17 left in the game before Riley Schafer wrapped up the scoring.

The Wolverines continue a five-game road swing with two games in Weyburn on Saturday.

In minor lacrosse on the weekend, the U11 Rampage beat Moose Jaw 3-2 and tied the Regina Crush 8-8, the U13 Rampage beat the Regina Vipers 8-2 and the Regina Riot 11-0, the U15 Rampage beat the Regina Water Dogs 11-1 and the Regina Snipers 5-0, and the U17 Rampage picked 8-5 and 10-9 wins over the Weyburn Thrashers.
