Southwestern Sask.'s Frenchman River will experience an influx of water flow later today and potentially more throughout the weekend.

Huff Lake, near Val Marie, sustained a significant increase of water earlier today and the Saskatchewan's Water Security Agency will be making unscheduled releases from the dam starting today.

They will be releasing 2.6 cubic metres/second starting today and may increase that outflow this weekend.

Anyone with ice shacks located downstream from Huff Lake is asked by the WSA to remove them as the increased water flow could weaken ice conditions.
